Society Of Local Volunteers' Effort (SOLVE)-Nepal since it's establishment in 1989 is a non-government, non-for-profit and non-political organization working in different areas of development till now. It has expanded the services in the community as well as expanded into other districts of eastern, mid, central, west and far west region of Nepal.

SOLVE is implementing Micro Finance programme as a Financial Intermediary of Nepal Rastra Bank in Dhankuta district delivering services to more than 10000 women of the rural poor of mid hills, Livelihood Forestry Programme for more than 300 Community Forestry Users' Group covering 27000 households, Micro Enterprise development for women services for 2000 households in Lalitpur and Kanchanpur districts, Children Associated with Armed Force and armed Groups including VMLR and CAAC children in Dhankuta district. SOLVE , is also involved in Local Governance and decentralization issues for development since 2008 till this date in Dhankuta, Makawanpur, Sindhuli, Lamjung, Rautahat, Gorkha, Banke and Kanchanpur districts.SOLVE-Nepal also involved in health related activities in Dhankuta, Terhathum, Sankhuwasabha, Bhojpur, Ilam and Pachthar district for women and child health project implementing Rural Water Supply and Sanitation programme in the different community of Makawanpur district since last 10 years.

Currently, SOLVE-Nepal is working in the issues of Constituent Assembly, constitution making and issues of federalism in the 15 districts of Nepal i.e Pachthar, Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsary, Dhankuta, Terhathum, Bhojpur, Saptari, Udyapur, Siraha, Okahldhunga, Rautahat, Bara and Makawanpur.

SOLVE having more than 125 full time professional working in development fields with 86 general members and 9 board of directors.
